A murder and a cat and mouse game, too good to be true with all of the clues leading to nothing. The detective keeps getting cornered, keeps getting pressed to a wall and then released.
Is this just a sick game?
Is this the killer's way of saying, ever so softly, "I love you" to our young green detective?

Okay okay okay, so....
Murderer. Think of a murderer. Huge, evil, dangerous. He's caught in the beginning, Law and Order style. Only he's not just any murderer. He's a hired gun, and he's been through this before.
For centuries.
That's right, a bounty hunter from Hell.
He's got to team up with the only officer who'll believe him to catch his biggest bounty: an angel.
Only, the one he's got to kill is the one he cares for the most. His partner in crime. His best friend, his whole life. Oh yeah.
